The Anatomy of Commercial Lighting: Types and their integral role Can you ever imagine the city of New York, Las Vegas, Paris or Tokyo without their beautifully decorative lamps and shapely poles? Of course not. The cities will be deprived of its aesthetics and rather get covered in dingy darkness. The night life of big cities need some viable arrangement that will keep it rollicking, thrilled and scintillating. Let alone, every single shop flanking the pathways and street roads promote their business using billboard outside their premise. Due to freedom provided by abundant availability of electricity power, it has become possible to manipulate the lighting supplies and illuminate the night streets with commercial light poles.

Over the years, engineering and technology have shaken their hands to bring innovations to the way the commercial lighting is established. The oldest and traditional form of lighting, incandescent lights are meant to serve a commercial lighting purpose. Due to its limited reach of spreading brightness, it is used more as desk lights or as something that lights up only small spaces of offices or small commercial centers. The positive aspect about incandescent lamps is that they give off lights that as intensity as much as sun. This is why they are most liked by those people working in a space where there is not much access to natural light coming from open windows. The light produced by incandescent bulbs has resemblance with sunlight when taken into account the color of its brightness.

FLUORESCENT LIGHTS

In history of commercial lighting and illumination, fluorescent tube lights and lamps have been the most common type for commercial infrastructures. If you ever visit commercial establishments – shops, hospitals or malls – you will find them conveniently hanging from the ceiling. Of course, due to variety of modern design creations, they are now easily available in different sizes and shapes depending on the personal requirements and tastes of an individual. Thought it might be a usual choice among the consumers, its benefits are unusual when it comes to saving money on usage. The pro of fluorescent commercial light poles is that they are noticeably energy efficient and tend to emit more light than ordinary bulbs.

HALOGEN LIGHTS

If you are a sports enthusiast or have been at a stadium or court to watch a live sports, you must have seen halogen lights. They are often considered as security lights or flood lights. This kind of laps have ability to cover the larger area that needs to be illuminated with proper light.  Night sports resort to monstrous Halogen commercial light poles so that sportsmen can play the game without any inconvenience. They are also a good choice if economical energy consumption is the focus.

METAL HALIDES

Metal halides have industrial usage are commonly found in warehouses or other industrial establishment. It discharges high-intensity light and this is the reason why industrial settings install it. Usually, it is fixed by means of suspended pendant hanging low from high ceiling that has many other bulbs attached. They all come in assorted sizes and lens types to cater to the different needs. When energy consumption is one of the concerns, metal halides don’t seem to disappoint. Its low pressure sodium bulbs are good in its efficiency.
