Android Marshmallow 6.0 is the newest version of android which will be available for the android users in the month of November 2015. Android users will definitely notice a little bit difference between Android 5.1 Lollipop and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. There are a lot of new things that Google has added in Android Marshmallow 6.0. It will give a user more control over the phone and it will also improve the performance by providing them a new user interface.
Following are some notable new features of Android Marshmallow 6.0.
1-Fingerprints Support & Android Pay
One of the new feature that Google has added is the support of fingerprints and android pay. It means that device will have its own application in which users can sign in without using the password and they can make payments through Android Pay. Now users can not only unlock the device but also they can make necessary payments. Users can use their fingerprints for android pay transaction, unlock the device through it and make Play Store purchases easily.
Allow access to all permissions when installing a new application is a little bit pain for the users who do not want to share their privacy. Now Google has taken an action in which users are allowed to decide whether which permissions they want to allow access or not. In android M users will get notifications to allow permissions to only those functions which users are using in a particular app.
3-Now On Tap
This is one of the most impressive feature of Android Marshmallow 6.0. It allow users to access any information which they required without closing any application. Now users just have to press and hold a home button no matter what they are doing and just have to enter a required query and it will analyze the information which a user is looking for and provide him a related results. It means it scans the content you’re looking for and provides information which may be useful.
For example, If you’re reading a message and it is related any film then you can quickly get local screening times, or reviews through Now on tap feature.
4-Doze – Battery Life
Battery problem is the most common problem faced by all android users but now Google has promised to solve it by increasing the standby time. In android M when the device will be motionless and unused then it will go into a deeper sleep mode. It will get updates less often in this mode but a user can still receive important calls, messages and alarms. This feature will double the battery life in the standby mode as compared to android 5.0.
App links is a feature when you click on a web link in your email or a text message, it asks you what application you would like to open it with either with a browser or an any app. It allowed users to set their own default apps with the frequent dialog boxes appeared every time when clicking on a link. This feature is very much improved in Android Marshmallow 6.0. It has been updated to show a greater awareness whether a link should be opened in a browser or on any app.
For example, if you get a twitter link, it will launch the Twitter app instead of asking you to choose between that and different apps.
