Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Which One Is Better?

Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S Which One Is BetterIt wasn’t too long ago that Apple released its iPhone 6S but now Samsung’s Galaxy S7 is also released in the market. Lets compare these two devices together in order to realize which one is better. Either Samsung Galaxy S7 is considered as superior to the iPhone 6S, or iPhone 6S is considered the best Apple’s device. Lets do a step by step break down of both smartphones to find out, which one is Indeed the better device.

1- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Smartphone Designs

iPhone 6S’s design is not that different from 5S, but it is still a gorgeous looking device and great for everyday use. iPhone 6S is more curvier & tougher than previous versions. The Galaxy S7 looks similar to S6, which was a good looking device itself. Samsung however has more practical improvements; camera sensor bump is gone and Samsung’s added some thickness by adding a slight curve to the back, which makes S7 more comfortable to use, and S7 is also IP68 certified.

2- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Screen Display

Samsung has a Super Amoled display, whereas the iPhone 6S has LCD Display. The Super Amoled display of S7 gives it the advantage of being more visible in sunlight and allowing for a more darker display than the LCD screen. LCD can be still viewable in sunlight at high brightness but LCD screen of 6S also looks more realistic in comparison as Amoled screens look over saturated at times, however S7 has the old options of tweaking the colors to make the display more realistic.

3- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Device Performance

The Galaxy S7 is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 processor in most countries it also has strong RAM of 4GB, which could allow almost any game to play smoothly on this device. Comparatively, The iPhone has the dual-core A9 chip and 2GB of RAM. This means S7 has the edge in this department until the arrival of the iPhone 7 at least.

4- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Camera

The iPhone 6S’s automatic mode makes it easy to take great photos without compromising on the quality. S7 has a new 12-megapixel sensor designed to capture bigger pixels and more lightning. Due to lack of optical image stabilization in iPhone’s camera, the S7 has performs better in low light settings and the auto focus system gives the iPhone 6S automatic system a run for its money. However the iPhone 6S seems better for taking more realistic photos with natural colors.

5- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Storage Options

Samsung’s only loaded the Galaxy S7 with 32GB of internal storage but iPhone 6S is currently available with 16GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal space. S7 has tried to turn the tides in its favor by bringing back the sd card slot but without the SD card the storage seems limited compared to 64 and 128 GB variants of the iPhone 6S.

6- Samsung Galaxy S7 vs iPhone 6S: Software and Operating System

The S7 uses the latest Android OS of Marshmallow 6.0.1 and the iPhone 6S uses the latest iOS 9.3. In case of any new updates becoming available, all the iPhones will simultaneously receive the update to the operating system, whereas many Android devices have still not received the Marshmallow update. Samsung still uses the TouchWiz UI, which has improved since the early days but is not perfectly optimized with Google. Apple’s UI seems more user friendly and easy to use.

The S7 seems to have the Edge over the iPhone 6S in several departments that includes design, camera options, display and performance. The iPhone 6S on the other hand has better Operating system and User Interface, better storage variants. It will be interesting to see how well the upcoming and the much anticipated iPhone 7S fares against Samsung Galaxy S7.
